STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1941. No. 298.

TURF (USE AND DEVELOPMENT) ACT, 1936 (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1941.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), that it shall be lawful for the Government, by order made on the request of a Minister having charge of a Department of State, to delegate to the parliamentary secretary to such Minister all of the powers and duties of such Minister under any particular Act or any particular statutory power or statutory duty of such Minister :

AND WHEREAS by the Transfer of Administration and Functions (Turf) Order, 1941, the powers and duties of the Minister for Industry and Commerce under the Turf (Use and Development) Act, 1936 (No. 23 of 1936), were transferred to the Minister for Finance :

AND WHEREAS the Minister for Finance has requested the Government to make this Order :

NOW, the Government in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Turf (Use and Development) Act, 1936 (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1941.

2. The powers and duties of the Minister for Finance under the Turf (Use and Development) Act, 1936 (No. 23 of 1936), are hereby delegated to Hugo Flinn, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance.
