SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS (MILK SAMPLING) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1941.

The Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Sale of Food and Drugs (Milk) Act, 1936 , and of all other powers in this behalf enabling him, does by this his Order, after consultation with the Minister for Agriculture, make the following regulations, that is to say :—

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Sale of Food and Drugs (Milk Sampling) (Amendment) Regulations, 1941, and shall be read and construed as one with the Sale of Food and Drugs (Milk Sampling) Regulations, 1936, and may be cited together therewith as the Sale of Food and Drugs (Milk Sampling) Regulations, 1936 and 1941.

(2) The Interpretation Act, 1937 , applies to the interpretation of these Regulations.

2. The Sale of Food and Drugs (Milk Sampling) Regulations, 1936, shall be and are hereby amended as follows :—

(i) Article 9 thereof shall have effect as if there were inserted therein after the words " records of ", the words " the nature of such sample, of ".

(ii) For the form of label set forth in the schedule thereto, there shall be substituted the following form : —

(1) Insert description of the sample of milk taken, i.e. whole milk, skimmed milk, etc., as the case may require.

(2) Insert name and description of the person by whom the sample was taken :—

e.g., John O'Connor, Medical Officer of Health of the Gortstown Dispensary District in the County of Cork.

Patrick Murphy, Milk Sampling Officer of the Council of the Urban District of Carlow.

Laurence Moriarty, Garda Station, Piltown, Inspector of Food and Drugs to the Council of the Administrative County of Wexford.
