STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1940. No. 264.

THE EXPORTED LIVE STOCK (INSURANCE) ACT, 1940 (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1940.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of Section 2 of the Exported Live Stock (Insurance) Act, 1940 (No. 25 of 1940), that the Minister for Agriculture shall by order appoint such day, subsequent to the establishment date, as he thinks fit to be the appointed day for the purposes of the said Act :

AND WHEREAS by the Exported Live Stock (Insurance) Act, 1940 (Establishment Date) Order, 1940 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 265 of 1940) the Minister for Agriculture appointed the 13th day of July, 1940, to be the establishment date for the purposes of the said Act :

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of Section 2 of the Exported Live Stock (Insurance) Act, 1940 (N9. 25 of 1940), and in exercise of the power conferred on me by the said sub-section and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows, that is to say :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Exported Live Stock (Insurance) Act, 1940 (Appointed Day) Order, 1940.

2. The 2nd day of September, 1940, is hereby appointed to be the appointed day for the purposes of the Exported Live Stock (Insurance) Act, 1940 (No. 25 of 1940).
