NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE (UNCLAIMED PROCEEDS OF STAMP SALES) AMENDMENT REGULATIONS, 1939.

REGULATIONS MADE BY THE MINISTER FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH UNDER THE NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE ACTS, 1911 TO 1936.

Dated this 23rd day of May, 1939.

The Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the National Health Insurance Acts, 1911 to 1936, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Insurance (Unclaimed Proceeds of Stamp Sales) Amendment Regulations, 1939.

2.—(1) In these Regulations unless the context otherwise requires—

The expression "the Minister" means the Minister for Local Government and Public Health.

The expression "the Society" means Cumann an Árachais Náisiúnta ar Shláinte (The National Health Insurance Society).

The expression "the Principal Regulations" means the National Health Insurance (Unclaimed Proceeds of Stamp Sales) Regulations, 1936.

(2) The Interpretation Act, 1937 , applies to these Regulations.

3. As from the 1st January, 1936, the Society shall pay interest at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum instead of at the yearly rate prescribed from time to time under Section 56 (1) (c) of the National Insurance Act, 1911, on sums advanced by the Minister under Article 2 (a) of the Principal Regulations.
