STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1939. No. 17.

ONIONS (REGULATION OF IMPORT) (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1939.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of section 2 of the Agricultural Products (Regulation of Import) Act, 1938 (No. 14 of 1938), that the Minister for Agriculture may at any time revoke any Order made under the said section, and it is enacted by sub-section (3) of the said section that the said Minister shall before making any Order under the section consult with the Minister for Finance and the Minister for Industry and Commerce :

AND WHEREAS the Onions (Regulation of Import) Order, 1938 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 283 of 1938) was made on the 21st October, 1938, under section 2 of the said Act and came into operation on the 1st day of November, 1938 :

NOW, the Minister for Agriculture in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2 of the Agricultural Products (Regulation of Import) Act, 1938 (No. 14 of 1938), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby, after consultation with the Minister for Finance and the Minister for Industry and Commerce, orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Onions (Regulation of Import) (Revocation) Order, 1939.

2. The Onions (Regulation of Import) Order, 1938 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 283 of 1938), is hereby revoked as on and from the 18th day of January, 1939.
