BOARDS OF GUARDIANS (OFFICERS) ORDER, 1938.

WHEREAS the Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Poor Relief (Ireland) Acts, 1838 to 1914, did on the 16th day of June, 1928, by order entitled the Board of Guardians (Minor Officers) Order, 1928, amend certain orders made by the Local Government Board for Ireland relating to boards of guardians and their officers:

AND WHEREAS it is now expedient that the said orders of the Local Government Board for Ireland should have effect without the amendments so made:

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the said powers hereby orders as follows, that is to say:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Boards of Guardians (Officers) Order, 1938.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 , applies to the interpretation of this Order.

3. The Board of Guardians (Minor Officers) Order, 1928, is hereby revoked.

4. The orders made by the Local Government Board for Ireland relating to boards of guardians and their officers bearing date respectively the 18th day of December, 1882, the 5th day of July, 1901, and the 7th day of March, 1919, shall have effect without the amendments made in the said orders by the Board of Guardians (Minor Officers) Order, 1928.
