WILD BIRDS (COUNTY WATERFORD) ORDER, 1938.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of Section 2 of the Wild Birds Protection Act, 1930 (No. 16 of 1930), that the Minister for Justice may by order made on the application of the council of a county or a county borough extend or vary in such county or county borough the close time in respect of all wild birds or any particular kinds or kind of wild birds :

AND WHEREAS the Council of the County of Waterford has applied to the said Minister to make an order under the said sub-section extending until the 1st day of December in every year the close time in the County of Waterford in respect of the kinds of wild birds hereinafter mentioned :

NOW, the Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (2) of Section 2 of the Wild Birds Protection Act, 1930 (No. 16 of 1930), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Wild Birds (County Waterford) Order, 1938.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this Order.

3. The close time in the County of Waterford in respect of the following kinds of wild birds, that is to say :—owl (all species), kestrel, goldfinch, chaffinch, linnet, redpoll, siskin, skylark, wagtail (all species), chough, kingfisher, hoopoe, is hereby extended to the 1st day of December to the intent that the close time in the said county for the said kinds of wild birds shall be the period between the 1st day of March and the 1st day of December (both days inclusive) in every year.
