STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1938. No. 165.

AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (CEREALS) ACT, 1938 (SECTION 10) (EXEMPTION) ORDER, 1938.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of section 10 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 (No. 16 of 1938), that the Minister for Industry and Commerce may, whenever and so often as he thinks fit, make an order under the said sub-section (2) exempting from the operation of sub-section (1) of the said section 10 any particular kind (defined in such manner and by reference to such things as the said Minister thinks proper) of any commodity in the preparation of which wheat or any product of wheat is used:

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Industry and Commerce in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (2) of section 10 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 (No. 16 of 1938), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows, that is to say:—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 (Section 10) (Exemption) Order, 1938.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of May, 1938.

2.—There is hereby exempted from the operation of sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 (No. 16 of 1938), any commodity which, in the opinion of the Revenue Commissioners—

(a) is a biscuit, not containing cocoa, and

(b) is a commodity in the preparation of which wheat or any product of wheat is used, and

(c) has been manufactured in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or in the Channel Islands, or in the Isle of Man, or in the Dominion of Canada.
