FOREIGN BIRTHS ENTRY BOOK (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1938.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (5) of Section 24 of the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1935 (No. 13 of 1935), that the Minister for External Affairs may by order make regulations in respect of (amongst other matters) the form of the foreign births entry book:

AND WHEREAS in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the said sub-section (5) the said Minister made the Foreign Births Entry Book Regulations, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 147 of 1935):

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for External Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (5) of Section 24 of the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1935 (No. 13 of 1935), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders and makes the following Regulations, that is to say:—

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Foreign Births Entry Book (Amendment) Regulations, 1938.

(2) These Regulations shall be construed as one with the Foreign Births Entry Book Regulations, 1935 (No. 147 of 1935), (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Regulations), and the Principal Regulations and these Regulations may be cited together as the Foreign Births Entry Book Regulations, 1935 and 1938.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. (1) Every foreign births entry book shall be in the form set forth in the Schedule hereto.

(2) Paragraph (1) of Regulation 4 of, and the Schedule to, the Principal Regulations are hereby revoked.
