SHEEPSKIN (PROHIBITION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1938.

WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (1) of section 2 of the Sheepskin (Control of Export) Act, 1934 (No. 13 of 1934), that the Minister for Industry and Commerce may, whenever and so often as he thinks proper by order prohibit the export of sheepskin otherwise than under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under that Act, and may so prohibit such export either for so long as such order is in force or for a specified period or for two or more specified discontinuous periods :

NOW, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on him by subsection (1) of section 2 of the Sheepskin (Control or Export) Act, 1934 (No. 13 of 1934), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Sheepskin (Prohibition of Export) Order, 1938.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The export of sheepskin otherwise than under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Sheepskin (Control of Export) Act, 1934 (No. 13 of 1934), is hereby prohibited during the period from the 1st day of April, 1938, to the 31st day of March, 1939.
