UNEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1938(SECTION 5) (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1938.

WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (2) of section 5 of the Unemployment Assistance (Amendment) Act, 1938 (No. 2 of 1938), that the Minister for Industry and Commerce may by order appoint a day to be the appointed day for the purposes of subsection (1) of the said section:

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on him by subsection (2) of section 5 of the Unemployment Assistance (Amendment) Act, 1938 (No. 2 of 1938), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows, that is to say:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Unemployment Assistance (Amendment) Act, 1938 (Section 5) (Appointed Day) Order, 1938.

2. The 26th day of January, 1938, is hereby fixed to be the appointed day for the purposes of subsection (1) of section 5 of the Unemployment Assistance (Amendment) Act, 1938 (No. 2 of 1938).
