29/04/1937: ORDER MADE BY THE REVENUE COMMISSIONERS,

Dated 29th April, 1937.

The Revenue Commissioners, in pursuance of the powers conferred on them by Section 139 of the Customs Consolidation Act, 1876, hereby order as follows:—

1. The exporter or shipper of offals of sheep and lambs intended for exportation shall make due entry and obtain clearance of such offals before shipment or exportation.

2. The entry required under paragraph 1 of this Order shall be made by delivering to the Collector or other proper Officer of Customs and Excise a Specification in the approved form, duly completed, in duplicate.

3. The entry shall specify, in addition to the other particulars required to be shown thereon,

(a) the name and address of the consignor;

(b) the name and address of the consignee; and

(c) the name and address of the owner;

and shall in all cases contain a declaration on the part of the person making entry that the particulars in the entry are true and are correctly stated.

4. The clearance required under paragraph 1 of this Order shall be granted by the signature of the proper Officer of Customs and Excise on the document on which entry has been made in pursuance of this Order.

5. This order shall come into operation on the 1st day of May, 1937.

6. The Interpretation Act, 1889, applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas passed before the first day of January, 1924.

7. This Order may be cited as the Exportation of Offals of Sheep and Lambs (Entry) Order, 1937.
