BY-LAW No. C.S. 91.No. 14 OR LETTERKENNY DISTRICT.

RIVERS OWENEA, OWENTOCKER AND BRACKY AND LOUGHROSMORE AND LOUGHROSBEG BAYS.

CLOSE SEASON.

I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me by Section 28 of the Fisheries Act, 1925 , the Fisheries (Re-distribution of Public Services) Order, 1934, and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, DO MAKE AND ORDAIN THE FOLLOWING BY-LAW :—

(1) The period heretofore appointed for the Annual Close season during which it shall not be lawful to take Salmon or Trout with engines other than single rod and line in the tidal portions of the Rivers Owenea, Owentocker and Bracky and in Loughrosmore and Loughrosbeg Bays, within or to the eastward of a line drawn from Dawros Head to Gull Island (off the townland of Glenlough), in the No. 14 or Letterkenny District, in the County of Donegal, shall cease.

(2) There shall be kept and observed in lieu thereof as the Annual Close Season during which it shall not be lawful to take Salmon or Trout with engines other than single rod and line in the tidal portions of the Rivers Owenea, Owentocker and Bracky, and in Loughrosmore and Loughrosbeg Bays, within or to the eastward of a straight line drawn from Dawros Head to Gull Island (off the townland of Glenlough), in the County of Donegal, the period from 1st July in each year to the 30th April in the year following, both said days inclusive.

(3) The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923) applies to the interpretation of this By-law in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

(4) This By-law may be cited for all purposes as the Loughrosmore and Loughrosbeg Bays Close Season By-Law, No. C.S. 91, 1937.
