STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1937. No. 176.

PIGS AND BACON ACT, 1937 (PART IV) (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1937.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of section 42 of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1937 (No. 23 of 1937), that the Minister for Agriculture may by order appoint a day to be the appointed day for the purposes of Part IV of the said Act:

NOW, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (1) of section 42 of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1937 (No. 23 of 1937), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1937 (Part IV) (Appointed Day) Order, 1937.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The twentieth day of July, 1937, is hereby appointed to be the appointed day for the purposes of Part IV of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1937 (No. 23 of 1937).
