STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1937. No. 4.

FLAX (AMOUNT OF FLAX BOUNTY FOR SALE SEASON 1937-38) ORDER, 1937.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of section 18 of the Flax Act, 1936 (No. 20 of 1936), that the Executive Council shall by order fix in respect of every sale season, the maximum quantity of flax on which flax bounty will be paid under the said Act in respect of such sale season:

AND WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of the said section 18 that the order to be made by the Executive Council in pursuance of the said sub-section (1) in respect of any sale season subsequent to the sale season beginning on the 1st day of October, 1936, shall be made before the 1st day of February next before the commencement of the sale season to which such order relates:

NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the power conferred on them by section 18 of the Flax Act, 1936 (No. 20 of 1936), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Flax (Amount of Flax Bounty for Sale Season 1937-38) Order, 1937.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The maximum quantity of flax on which flax bounty will be paid under the Flax Act, 1936 (No. 20 of 1936), in respect of the sale season beginning on the 1st day of October, 1937, is hereby fixed at two hundred and forty thousand stones of flax.
