APPRENTICESHIP ACT (FURNITURE TRADE) APPRENTICESHIP DISTRICT ORDER, 1936.

APPRENTICESHIP ACT (FURNITURE TRADE) APPRENTICESHIP DISTRICT ORDER, 1936, MADE BY THE MINISTER FOR INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE ON THE 11TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1936, PURSUANT TO SECTION 3 of THE APPRENTICESHIP ACT, 1931 .

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Apprenticeship Act, 1931 , that whenever the Minister for Industry and Commerce makes a special order declaring a trade to be a designated trade in any area, he shall by another order forthwith either constitute such area to be an apprenticeship district for the purposes of such designated trade or divide such area into two or more apprenticeship districts for the purposes of such designated trade :

AND WHEREAS it is further enacted by sub-section (2) of the said Section 3 that before making an order under the said section constituting an area to be an apprenticeship district or dividing an area into two or more apprenticeship districts for the purposes of a designated trade which is a trade-board trade, the Minister shall consult the trade-board for such trade :

AND WHEREAS the Minister for Industry and Commerce has made the Apprenticeship Act (Furniture Trade) Special Order, 1936, declaring the trade mentioned in the First Schedule thereto to be a designated trade for the purposes of the said Act in the part of Saorstát Eireann specified in the Second Schedule thereto, namely, the whole of Saorstát Eireann with the exception of the Administrative County of Dublin and the County Borough of Dublin (being the area mentioned in the Second Schedule to the Apprenticeship Act (Furniture Trade) Special Order, 1934) :

AND WHEREAS the trade declared by the said Special Order to be a designated trade for the purposes of the said Act is not a trade-board trade :

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in pursuance of the provisions of Section 3 of the Apprenticeship Act, 1931 , hereby orders as follows, that is to say :—

1. The whole of Saorstát Eireann with the exception of the Administrative County of Dublin and the County Borough of Dublin (being the area mentioned in the Second Schedule to the Apprenticeship Act (Furniture Trade) Special Order, 1934), is constituted to be an apprenticeship district for the purposes of the trade declared by the Apprenticeship Act (Furniture Trade) Special Order, 1936, to be a designated trade for the purposes of the Apprenticeship Act, 1931 .

2. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Apprenticeship Act (Furniture Trade) Apprenticeship District Order, 1936.
