AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (EGGS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS (No. 2), 1936.

I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Agricultural Produce (Eggs Acts,) 1924 and 1930, and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do by this Order make the following regulations, that is to say:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Eggs) (Amendment) Regulations (No. 2), 1936.

2. In these Regulations the expression "the Principal Regulations" means the Agricultural Produce (Eggs) Regulations, 1931 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 23 of 1931), and every expression to which a particular meaning is assigned by those Regulations has that meaning in these Regulations.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

4. Article 6 of the Principal Regulations is hereby amended by the deletion of paragraph (4) thereof and the substitution therefor of a new paragraph, as follows:—

"(4) The prescribed design shall be applied in violet ink, except that in the case of Fresh eggs and of Trade eggs, other than preserved, packed during the period commencing on 1st of August in each year, and terminating on the 31st of January next following, the prescribed design shall be applied in green ink."

and the Principal Regulations shall be construed and have effect accordingly.

5. These Regulations shall come into operation as from the 1st day of August, 1936.
