STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1936. No. 69.

SHEEPSKIN (CONTROL OF EXPORT) ACT (PROHIBITION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1936.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Sheepskin (Control of Export) Act, 1934 , that the Minister for Industry and Commerce may whenever and so often as he thinks proper, by order prohibit the export of sheepskin otherwise than under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the said Act, and may so prohibit such export either for so long as such order is in force or for a specified period or for two or more specified discontinuous periods :

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Industry and Commerce in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Sheepskin (Control of Export) Act, 1934 , and of all other powers him in this behalf enabling hereby orders as follows, that is to say—

1. The Interpretation Act, 1923 , applies to the interpretation of this order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

2. In this order the expression " the Act " means the Sheepskin (Control of Export) Act, 1934 , and the expression " the Minister " means the Minister for Industry and Commerce.

3. The export of sheepskin otherwise than under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued by the Minister under the Act is hereby prohibited during the period commencing on the 1st day of April, 1936, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1937.

4. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Sheepskin (Control of Export) Act (Prohibition of Export) Order, 1936.
