LAND BOND (DRAWING) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1935.

WHEREAS by virtue of subsection (3) of section 1 of the Land Act, 1923 (No. 42 of 1923), as amended by section 3 of the Land Bond Act, 1925 (No. 25 of 1925), the Minister for Finance is empowered to make regulations for the periodical drawings of land bonds in pursuance of the said subsection (3) as so amended :

AND WHEREAS the Land Bond (Drawing) Regulations, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 254 of 1934), were made by the Minister for Finance in exercise of the said power so vested in him :

NOW, therefore, the Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (3) of section 1 of the Land Act, 1923 (No. 42 of 1923), as amended by section 3 of the Land Bond Act, 1925 (No. 25 of 1925), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby makes the following regulations, that is to say :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Land Bond (Drawing) (Amendment) Regulations, 1935.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. In these Regulations, the expression " the Principal Regulations " means the Land Bond (Drawing) Regulations, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 254 of 1934).

4. The statement which is required by sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 6 of the Principal Regulations to be published in the Iris Oifigiuil not less than fourteen days before any yearly draw held under those Regulations may, in the case of such statement in relation to the draw to be held under the Principal Regulations on the 15th day of October, 1935, be published in the Iris Oifigiuil in pursuance of the said sub-paragraph (2) at any time not less than ten days before such draw, and the said sub-paragraph (2) shall be and is hereby amended and shall be construed and have effect accordingly.
