STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1935. No. 262.

PIGS AND BACON ACT, 1935 (PART III) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1935.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (No. 24 of 1935), that the said Act shall come into operation on such day or days as shall be fixed therefor by an Order made by the Minister for Agriculture, either generally or with reference to any particular Part or provision, and different days may be so fixed for different Parts and different provisions of the said Act;

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that Part III of the said Act should come into operation on the 6th day of August, 1935;

NOW, THEREFORE I, SEÁMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (No. 24. of 1935), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (Part III) (Commencement) Order, 1935.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 6th day of August, 1935, is hereby fixed as the day on which Part III of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (No. 24 of 1935), shall come into operation.
