STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1935. No. 246.

GAME BIRDS PROTECTION (No. 3) ORDER, 1935.

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 6 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930), that, whenever the Minister for Justice is satisfied that any particular species of game bird is in special need of protection in Saorstát Eireann, he may by order prohibit for any specified period, not exceeding one year from the date of such order, the killing or taking of that particular species of game bird in Saorstát Eireann.

AND WHEREAS, I, P. J. RUTTLEDGE, Minister for Justice, am satisfied that the species of game bird mentioned in the first column of the Schedule to this Order is in special need of protection in the whole of Saorstát Eireann:

NOW, I, P. J. RUTTLEDGE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 6 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Game Birds Protection (No. 3) Order, 1935.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The killing or taking of the species of game bird mentioned in the first column of the Schedule to this Order is prohibited in the whole of Saorstát Eireann for the period mentioned in the second column of the said Schedule.
