THE ELECTORAL(AMENDMENT ) ORDER, 1934.

DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH.

THE ELECTORAL ACT, 1923 .

THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTORS REGISTRATION ACT, 1924 .

WHEREAS the Minister for Local Government did by the Electoral Order, 1924, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (2) of section 11 of the Electoral Act, 1923 , and by section 4 of the Local Government Electors Registration Act, 1924 , prescribe forms to be used by persons who claim to be entitled to be registered:

AND WHEREAS it is now expedient that a single form be substituted for the forms so prescribed:

AND WHEREAS the said powers are now vested in the Minister for Local Government and Public Health:

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the said powers, hereby orders and prescribes as follows, that is to say:—

1. This Order may be referred to as "the Electoral (Amendment) Order, 1934.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 , applies to the interpretation of this Order in the same manner in which it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. Schedule I to the Electoral Order, 1924, shall be amended by the substitution therein for the forms of claim to be registered (Form EA. 6 and Form EA. 7) of the single form set forth in the Schedule to this Order.

I.

Any false declaration for the purposes of a claim will render the person guilty liable on summary conviction to a fine of not less than £5.

If Dáil franchise is not claimed, Part B need not be filled in.

If Local Government franchise is not claimed, Part C need not be filled in.
