Exportation Of Certain Goods (Horses Of All Classes) Order, 1933


06/11/1933: ORDER MADE BY THE REVENUE COMMISSIONERS.

Dated 6th November, 1933.

The Revenue Commissioners, in pursuance of the powers conferred on them by Section 139 of the Customs Consolidation Act, 1876, hereby order as follows:—

1. The exporter or shipper of horses of all classes intended for exportation shall make due entry and obtain clearance of such horses before shipment or exportation.

2. The entry required under paragraph 1 of this Order shall be made by delivering to the Collector or other proper Officer of Customs and Excise a Specification in the approved form, duly completed, in duplicate.

3. The entry shall specify, in addition to the other particulars required to be shown thereon,

(a) the name and address of the consignor of the horses ;

(b) the name and address of the consignee of the horses ; and

(c) the name and address of the owner of the horses ;

and shall in all cases contain a declaration on the part of the person making the entry that the particulars in the entry are true and correctly stated.

4. The clearance required under paragraph 1 of this Order shall be granted by the signature of the proper Officer of Customs and Excise on the document on which entry has been made in pursuance of this Order.

5. This Order shall come into operation on the 8th day of November, 1933.

6. The Interpretation Act, 1889, applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas passed before the first day of January, 1924.

EXPORTATION OF HORSES OF ALL CLASSES.

1. Collection and Officers concerned are informed that the Commissioners have made an Order (see Appendix), dated 6th November, 1933, under Section 139 of the Customs Consolidation Act, 1876, requiring due entry and clearance before shipment of horses of all classes on and from the 8th November, 1933.

2. The distinguishing letters " H.E.B." will be used for the purpose of the Department of Agriculture on forms and envelopes in connection with the bounty on horses. Subject to this alteration the instructions contained in General Order No. 179/1932 are, mutatis mutandis, to be applied.
