BY-LAW No. C.S. 89 No. 8 or LIMERICK DISTRICT

RIVERS FEALE AND CASHEN

CLOSE SEASON

I, JOSEPH CONNOLLY, Minister for Lands and Fisheries, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me by the Fisheries Act, 1925 , and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, do MAKE AND ORDAIN THE FOLLOWING BY-LAW:—

(1) The period heretofore appointed for the Close Time during which it shall not be lawful to take or fish for Salmon or Trout with engines other than single rod and line in the tidal waters of the Rivers Feale and Cashen in the No. 8, or Limerick district, shall cease.

(2) There shall be kept and observed in lieu thereof as the Annual Close Season during which it shall not be lawful to take or fish for Salmon or Trout with engines other than single rod and line in the said tidal waters of the Rivers Feale and Cashen, the period from the 1st August in each year to the 31st March in the year following, both said days inclusive.

(3) The Interpretation Act, 1923 , applies to the interpretation of this By-law in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

(4) This By-law may be cited for all purposes as the Rivers Feale and Cashen Close Season By-law, No. C.S. 89, 1933.

Note.—Under the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1925 , this By-law will come into operation on the twenty-eighth day after the above date.
