STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1933. No. 118.

DISTRICT PROBATE REGISTRIES (COLLECTION OF FEES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1933.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 3 of the Public Offices Fees Act, 1879, as adapted by or under the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), that the Minister for Finance may from time to time make, and when made revoke, alter, and add to regulations for certain purposes respecting fees in any public office, and that any such regulations so far as they relate to the office of any court of law shall be made with the consent of the Chief Justice of the Irish Free State.

AND WHEREAS the Minister for Finance, with the consent of the Chief Justice of the Irish Free State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the said section 3 of the Public Offices Fees Act, 1879, as adapted by or under the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), made the District Probate Registries (Collection of Fees) Regulations, 1932:

AND WHEREAS it is necessary to alter the said Regulations:

NOW, therefore, the Minister for Finance, with the consent of the Chief Justice of the Irish Free State testified by his signature affixed to these regulations, and in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Public Offices Fees Act, 1879, as adapted by or under the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), and of any and every other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby makes the following regulations, that is to say:—

1. These Regulations may be cited for all purposes as the District Probate Registries (Collection of Fees) (Amendment) Regulations, 1933.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1889, applies to the interpretation of these regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas passed before the 1st day of January, 1924.

3. Paragraph 4 of the District Probate Registries (Collection of Fees) Regulations, 1932, shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion of the words "General Duty" where those words occur in the said paragraph and the substitution of the words "Courts of Justice" for the words so deleted, and the said Regulations shall be construed and have effect accordingly.

4. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of November, 1933.
