BY-LAW No. 411 HERRING FISHING.

COUNTIES DONEGAL, LEITRIM & SLIGO

I, FIONÁN Ó LOINGSIGH, Minister for Lands and Fisheries, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me by the Fisheries Act, 1925 , and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, do MAKE AND ORDAIN THE FOLLOWING BY-LAW :—

(1) By-Law No. 2 of the 7th November, 1904, and the By-Law of the 30th June, 1910, by which it is prohibited to have Drift Nets for the capture of Herrings fastened together so as to form a train ready for fishing, on board any fishing boat during the month of April in each year within three geographical miles of the coast are hereby repealed in so far as the coasts of the Counties Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo are concerned.

(2) The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this By-Law in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

(3) This By-Law may be cited for all purposes as the Counties Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo Herring Fishery By-Law, No. 411, 1931.

(4) This By-Law shall come into operation on the thirty-first day of March, 1931.

NOTE.—The Fisheries Act, 1925 , provides that any person aggrieved by this By-Law may, within one fortnight after the date of this publication, appeal against the same in accordance with Order XXVII of the Rules of the High Court and Supreme Court.
