LIVE STOCK (BULLS) BREEDING REGULATIONS, 1931.

LIVE STOCK BREEDING ACT, 1925 .

I, PATRICK HOGAN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Live Stock Breeding Act, 1925 (No. 3 of 1925) and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling do hereby order and make the following regulations, that is to say—

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Live Stock (Bulls) Breeding Regulations, 1931.

(2) The Live Stock Breeding Regulations, 1925 (Statutory Rules and Orders, 1925, No. 27), and these Regulations may be cited together as the Live Stock (Bulls) Breeding Regulations, 1925 and 1931.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. Where

(a) an application for a licence for a bull under the said Live Stock Breeding Act, 1925 , is refused, and

(b) the right ear of such bull is, in accordance with paragraph (2) of Article 7 of the said Live Stock Breeding Regulations, 1925, tattooed with the letter " R," and

(c) the Minister for Agriculture in pursuance of sub-section (3) of Section 15 of the said Live Stock Breeding Act, 1925 , reverses such refusal,

the said Minister may cause the letter " R " so tattooed on such right ear to be defaced by a

cancellation mark consisting of three parallel lines thus

, tattooed over the letter " R."
