THE LOUTH MENTAL HOSPITAL DISTRICT (ADJUSTMENT) ORDER, 1931.

To The Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Dublin; to the Councils of the Administrative Counties of Dublin, Louth and Wicklow; and to all others whom it may concern:

WHEREAS in pursuance of the Lunacy (Ireland) Acts, 1821 to 1901, as amended by the Local Government (Ireland) Acts, 1898 to 1919, and as adapted by an Order of the Executive Council entitled The Lunacy Acts (Adaptation) Order, 1929, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health (hereinafter referred to as "the Minister") did by Order under his Official Seal bearing date the Twelfth day of March, 1930, entitled the Louth Mental Hospital District Order, 1930, separate as from the First day of April, 1930, the Administrative County of Louth from the joint district for the Grangegorman District Mental Hospital which theretofore comprised the Administrative Counties of the County Borough of Dublin, Dublin, Louth and Wicklow, and did constitute the said Administrative County of Louth to be a separate district for the purpose of the provision and maintenance of accommodation for the lunatic poor in the said County.

AND WHEREAS the Minister thinks fit to ascertain and fix the equitable amount which shall be repaid and the proportions and instalments in which the same shall be repaid to the Administrative County of Louth by the Administrative Counties of the County Borough of Dublin, Dublin and Wicklow, on the separation of the said first mentioned County from the joint district for the Grangegorman District Mental Hospital, under the Order hereinbefore recited:

AND WHEREAS before finally fixing the equitable amount to be repaid as aforesaid and the proportions and instalments of such repayment, the Minister did transmit a copy of the proposed order in that behalf to the secretary of every county council affected by or interested in such order, who has laid the same before such county council:

AND WHEREAS the Minister, after due notice, has considered any objections that any county council affected by or interested in the proposed order have made to him in regard thereto:

NOW THEREFORE, the Minister, in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Lunacy (Ireland) Acts, 1821 to 1901, as amended and adapted as aforesaid, does hereby order and determine as follows, that is to say:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Louth Mental Hospital District (Adjustment) Order, 1931.

2. The equitable amount which shall be repaid to the Council of the Administrative County of Louth by the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Dublin, and the Councils of the Administrative Counties of Dublin and Wicklow, consequent upon the separation of the first mentioned County from the joint district for the Grangegorman Mental Hospital is hereby finally ascertained and fixed to be the sum of Thirty-two Thousand Six Hundred and Sixty-six Pounds, which shall be payable in the following proportions:

(a) by the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Dublin, Twenty-five Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty-four Pounds;

(b) by the Council of the Administrative County of Dublin, Four Thousand Three Hundred and Eighty-nine Pounds; and

(c) by the Council of the Administrative County of Wicklow Two Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety-three Pounds.

3. The sums by this Order required to be paid to the Council of the Administrative County of Louth shall be payable in three equal instalments on the 1st day of August, 1931, the 1st day of April, 1932, and the 1st day of December, 1932, respectively.
