THE UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE (INDUSTRY SPECIAL SCHEME) AMENDMENT ORDER, 1930.

UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE.

The Unemployment Insurance (Insurance Industry Special Scheme) Amendment Order made by the Minister for Industry and Commerce under the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1920 (10 and 11 Geo. 5, c.30).

WHEREAS by the Unemployment Insurance (Insurance Industry Special Scheme) Order, 1921, made pursuant to section 18 of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1920, the Insurance Industry Unemployment Insurance Scheme was approved;

AND WHEREAS the provisions of the said Scheme have been amended by the Unemployment Insurance (Insurance Industry Special Scheme Amendment Order, 1924, and by the Unemployment Insurance (Insurance Industry Special Scheme) Amendment Order (No. 2), 1924;

AND WHEREAS application has been made to the Minister for the further variation and amendment of the provisions of the said Scheme;

NOW THEREFORE, I Patrick McGilligan, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, by virtue of the powers conferred on me by section 18 of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1920, and in exercise of all other powers enabling me in that behalf do hereby make the following Special Order:—

1. The Insurance Industry Unemployment Insurance Scheme set out in the Schedule to the Unemployment Insurance (Insurance Industry Special Scheme) Order, 1921, shall be and it is hereby varied and amended as from the date of this Order by the addition of the following words to paragraph (2) of Article 7 thereof:—

Provided that the Joint Board shall have power in the case of any person insured under the Scheme who is resident temporarily or permanently in Great Britain or in Northern Ireland to dispense with the disqualification on account of residence outside Saorstát Eireann mentioned in sub-section (3) of the said section.

2. This Order may be cited as the Unemployment Insurance (Insurance Industry Special Scheme) Amendment Order, 1930.
