STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1930. No. 45.

MINISTRY OF MUNITIONS (CESSATION) ORDER, 1921, ADAPTATION ORDER, 1930.

WHEREAS by virtue of sections 12 and 16 of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), the Executive Council is empowered from time to time, by order, to make all such general or specific adaptations of or modifications in any order made under a British Statute which in the opinion of the Executive Council are necessary in order to enable such order to have full force and effect in Saorstát Eireann :

AND WHEREAS in the opinion of the Executive Council the adaptation intended to be made by this Order of the Ministry of Munitions (Cessation) Order, 1921 (being an order made under a British Statute within the meaning of the said Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 ) is necessary in order to enable such order to have full force and effect in Saorstát Eireann :

NOW, THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL, in exercise of the power conferred on them by the joint operation of sections 12 and 16 of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Ministry of Munitions (Cessation) Order, 1921, Adaptation Order, 1930.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1889, applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas passed before the 1st day of January, 1924.

3. In this Order the expression " the Order " means the Ministry of Munitions (Cessation) Order, 1921.

4. The references contained in clause 3 of the Order and in the proviso to that clause to the Treasury Solicitor shall be construed as references to the Minister for Finance, and the said Order shall have effect accordingly.

5. The proviso to clause 3 of the Order shall be construed and have effect as if the word " may " were substituted for the words " shall on any general or special instructions from the Treasury. "

6. Sub-clause (1) of clause 9 of the Order shall not have effect.
