LOCAL GOVERNMENT (PROCEDURE OF COUNCILS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1929.

WHEREAS by sub-section (1) of Section 86 of the Local Government Act, 1925 , it is enacted in effect amongst other things, that the Minister for Local Government and Public Health may by order make regulations respecting the procedure of local authorities in connection with the business imposed on or transferred to them by or in pursuance of any enactment (including the said Act) and by any such regulations annul or vary the Local Government (Procedure of Councils) Order, 1899 (as amended by any provisional order duly confirmed) (which Order as so amended is hereinafter referred to as " the Order of 1899 ") or any provision thereof :

AND WHEREAS it is expedient to vary the Order of 1899 in manner hereinafter appearing :

NOW, THEREFORE, I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers vested in me as aforesaid, do by this my Order, make the following regulations and do vary to the extent therein appearing the Order of 1899, that is to say :—

1. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Order of 1899, anything required to be done by a county council or rural district council to give effect to an Order of the Minister for Local Government and Public Health limiting the time for the performance of the duty of such county council or rural district council in the matter of a complaint made to the said Minister under sub-section (3) of Section 82 of the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898, may be done at any meeting of the Council.

2. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Procedure of Councils) (Amendment) Order, 1929, and shall be read and construed as one with the Local Government (Procedure of Councils) Order, 1899.
