RIVER INNY

CLOSE SEASON FOR NETS

I, FIONÁN O LOÍNGSIGH, Minister for Lands and Fisheries, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me by the Fisheries Act, 1925 , and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, do MAKE AND ORDAIN THE FOLLOWING BY-LAW :—

(1) The period heretofore appointed for the Annual Close Season during which it shall not be lawful to take or fish for Salmon or Trout with nets in the freshwater portion of the River Inny and its tributaries, in the No. 72 or Waterville District, shall cease.

(2) There shall be kept and observed in lieu thereof as the Annual Close Season during which it shall not be lawful to take or fish for Salmon or Trout with nets in the said portion of the River Inny and its tributaries the period from the 1st September in each year to the 31st March in the year following, both said days inclusive.

(3) The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923) applies to the interpretation of this By-law in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

(4) This By-law may be cited for all purposes as the River Inny Close Season By-law, No. C.S. 83, 1929.

(5) This By-law shall come into operation on the 31st day of March, 1929.
