THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (TEMPORARY PROVISIONS) ACT, 1923 .

WICKLOW COUNTY SCHEME.

To the Council of the Administrative County of Wicklow; to the Wicklow Board of Health and Public Assistance; and to all others whom it may concern:

WHEREAS by an Order under his Seal of Office bearing date the 28th day of June, 1923, called the Wicklow County Scheme Order, 1923, the Minister for Local Government, in pursuance of Section 4 of the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), did amend and modify the existing County Scheme for the Administrative County of Wicklow as set forth in the First Schedule to the Act in such manner as to bring it into conformity with the provisions of the Scheme set out in the Schedule to the said Order (which said provisions are in the said Order, and in this Order referred to as "the Wicklow County Scheme");

AND WHEREAS I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, deem it necessary to amend the Wicklow County Scheme in manner hereinafter appearing and did, on the 26th day of July, 1928, give to the Council of the Administrative County of Wicklow one month's notice of my intention to make the said amendment, and have taken into consideration any representation which has been made to me by the said Council within such month in respect of the said amendment;

NOW THEREFORE I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers given to me by Section 5 of the Act, and of all other powers in this behalf enabling me, the said month having expired, do, by this my Order, order and direct as follows, that is to say:—

I. From and after the date hereof sub-article (i) of Article 15 of the Wicklow County Scheme shall be amended as follows:—

1. The following paragraphs shall be substituted for paragraphs (a), and (b) thereof:

(a) A County Home at Rathdrum for aged and infirm persons, chronic invalids, children and expectant mothers.

(b) A County Hospital at Wicklow for the treatment of medical, surgical and maternity cases.

2. The following new paragraphs shall be added after paragraph (c) thereof:

(d) A Fever Hospital at Wicklow for the treatment of cases of infectious and contagious diseases;

(e) A District Hospital at Baltinglass for the treatment of medical, surgical and maternity cases, and cases of infectious and contagious diseases.

3. Paragraph (d) thereof shall be re-lettered and indicated by the letter (f).

II. This Order may be cited as the Wicklow County Scheme (Amendment) Order, 1928.
