STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1928. No. 49.

MINISTERS AND SECRETARIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1928 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1928.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of section 5 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1928 , (No. 8 of 1928), that that Act shall come into operation on such day as may be fixed by an order of the Executive Council:

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the said Act should come into operation on the 1st day of September, 1928:

NOW the Executive Council, in exercise of the power in that behalf conferred on them by the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1928 (No. 8 of 1928), and of every and any other power them in that behalf enabling do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1928 (Commencement) Order, 1928.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 1st day of September, 1928, is hereby fixed and appointed as the day on which the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1928 (No. 8 of 1928), shall come into operation.
