THE MERCHANT SHIPPING (WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY) RULES AMENDMENT RULES, 1926.

MERCHANT SHIPPING WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY.

The Merchant Shipping (Wireless Telegraphy) Rules Amendment Rules, 1926, dated April 27, 1926, made by the Minister for Industry and Commerce, under the Merchant Shipping (Wireless Telegraphy) Act, 1919.

The Minister for Industry and Commerce in pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Merchant Shipping (Wireless Telegraphy) Act, 1919, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf after consultation with the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs hereby makes the following Rules:—

1. (1) These Rules may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Wireless Telegraphy) Rules Amendment Rules, 1926, and shall come into force on the date of these Rules.

(2) The Interpretation Act, 1899, applies for the purpose of the interpretation of these Rules and the Merchant Shipping (Wireless Telegraphy) Rules, dated the 10th day of July, 1920 (S.R. & O., 1920, No. 976) (hereinafter called the Principal Rules), in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of Acts of the British Parliament having the force of law in Saorstát Eireann.

2. In paragraphs (ii) and (iii) of Article 10 (2) of the Principal Rules the words "six months' experience" shall be substituted for the words "one year's experience."

3. The Schedule to the Principal Rules, in so far as it relates to Zones B, C, and E, shall be amended and read as follows:—
