Increase of Rent and Mortgage Interest (Restrictions) Act, 1926

Definitions.

1.—In this Act—

the expression “the Principal Act” means the Increase of Rent and Mortgage Interest (Restrictions) Act, 1923 (No. 19 of 1923); the expression “the Act of 1920” means the Increase of Rent and Mortgage Interest (Restrictions) Act, 1920; and

the expression “statutory notice” means, as the context may require, either the notice of intention to increase rent mentioned in sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Act of 1920 or the notice increasing rent mentioned in sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Principal Act.
