Vesting and delegation of powers, etc., in and to the Deputy Registrar.

3.—(1) All powers, authorities, and jurisdictions which, immediately before the passing of this Act, are by virtue of the Principal Act or any Order in Council made thereunder vested in or capable of being exercised by the Registrar shall, until the coming into operation of an Act (whether passed before or after this Act) abolishing the office of Clerk of the Crown and Peace, be exercisable by the Deputy Registrar as well as by the Registrar.

(2) Every power, authority, and jurisdiction which, immediately before the passing of this Act, is by virtue of the Principal Act or any Order in Council made thereunder capable of being delegated by the Judge to the Registrar shall, until the coming into operation of an Act (whether passed before or after this Act) abolishing the office of Clerk of the Crown and Peace, be capable of being delegated by the Judge to the Deputy Registrar either in addition to or in lieu of the Registrar and, if and while so delegated, shall until the coming into operation of such Act as aforesaid be exercisable by the Deputy Registrar.

(3) Every exercise by the Deputy Registrar of any power, authority, or jurisdiction under or by virtue of this section shall be subject to the like appeal as an exercise of such power, authority, or jurisdiction by the Registrar would be subject to.
