County Scheme Order, Meath (Amendment), 1925.

THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (TEMPORARY PROVISIONS) ACT, 1923 .

MEATH COUNTY SCHEME.

To the Council of the Administrative County of Meath; to the Meath County Board of Health; and to all whom it may concern:

WHEREAS by an order under My Seal of Office bearing date the 28th day of June, 1923, called the Meath County Scheme Order, 1923, I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in pursuance of Section 5 of the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), did amend and modify the existing County Scheme relating to the County of Meath as set out in the First Schedule to the Act in such way as to bring it into conformity with the provisions of the scheme set out in the Schedule to the said Order (which said provisions are in the said Order, and this Order referred to as the Meath County Scheme):

AND WHEREAS the Meath County Scheme has come into operation, and I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, deem it necessary to amend the Meath County Scheme in such manner as to make provision for the reception and maintenance of unmarried mothers in the County Home at Trim provided under the Meath County Scheme, and did on the 10th day of December, 1924, give to the Council of the Administrative County of Meath one month's notice of my intention to make the said amendment, and have taken into consideration any representation which has been made to me by the said Council within such month in respect of the said amendment:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers given to me by Section 5 of the Act, and of all other powers in this behalf enabling me, the said month having expired, do, by this my Order, order and direct as follows, that is to say:—

1. The Meath County Scheme shall be amended by the substitution therein for paragraph (a) of Sub-article (i) of Article 15 thereof of the following paragraph:—

(a) A County Home at Trim for aged and infirm persons, chronic invalids, and unmarried mothers and their children.

2. This amendment shall be deemed to have come into operation as from the 1st day of July, 1923.

3. This Order may be cited as the Meath County Scheme (Amendment) Order, 1925.
