STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1925. No. 42.

INTOXICATING LIQUOR (STANDARDISATION OF BOTTLES) No. 2 ORDER, 1925.

WHEREAS by section 9 of the Intoxicating Liquor (General) Act, 1924 , it is inter alia enacted that the Minister for Justice may by Order prescribe the sizes of the bottles in which any specified intoxicating liquor may be sold, and that where any such Order is in force it shall not be lawful to sell or supply the intoxicating liquor specified in the Order in bottles of any size other than one of the sizes prescribed by the Order.

AND WHEREAS by an Order (hereinafter called the Principal Order), made by the Minister for Justice on the 31st day of March, 1925, it was ordered that on and from the 1st day of October, 1925, all ale, beer, porter or stout sold in bottles containing less than one standard quart should be sold in quarter-pint, half-pint, or pint bottles as therein defined.

AND WHEREAS it has been expedient to postpone the coming into force of the Principal Order:

NOW I, CAOIMHGHIN O hUIGIN, Minister for Justice, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Section 9 of the Intoxicating Liquor (General) Act, 1924 , and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf order and prescribe as follows:—

(1) The Principal Order shall read as if the expression "on and from the first day of January, 1926" were substituted for the expression "on and from the first day of October, 1925" therein.

(2) The Principal Order may be cited as "The Intoxicating Liquor (Standardisation of Bottles) No. 1 Order of 1925.

(3) This Order may be cited as the Intoxicating Liquor (Standardisation of Bottles) No. 2 Order of 1925.
