Licensing (Evidence) Act, 1884

Extension of 35 & 36 Vict. c. 94. s. 41.

1. Section forty-one of the Licensing Act, 1872, shall be construed as if after the words “application is for the grant of a license” there were inserted the words “or for the transfer of a license.

Provided that the magistrates or justices shall be satisfied by evidence submitted to them that the license was withheld without any legal right to withhold the same.
