Duties of visitors.

56. It shall be the duty of the medical and legal visitors to visitors persons of unsound mind within the meaning of this Act at such times and in such rotation and manner, and to make such inquiries and investigations as to their care and treatment and mental and bodily health, and the arrangements for their maintenance and comfort, and otherwise respecting them, as the Lord Chancellor shall by general orders, or as the Lord Chancellor intrusted as aforesaid shall by special order in any particular case, from time to time direct.
