When cottier tenancy is determined by landlord, compensation to be made for crop, &c.

82. In case any such tenancy shall be determined by notice to quit, served by the landlord, the said landlord shall pay to the tenant a fair compensation for any crops which may be growing on the land belonging to such tenement, or any benefit accruing from the manuring of such land, to be recovered by civil bill process before the chairman of the county or riding in which the premises may be situate; which civil bill proceeding shall be subject to the same right of appeal as ordinary civil bill actions now are or hereafter shall be.
