Dublin Police Magistrates Act, 1808

Police district to be divided into six divisions with public offices.

3. And . . . that the said police district shall be divided into six divisions; and that it shall and may be lawful to and for the lord lieutenant or other chief governor or governors of Ireland for the time being, by warrant under hand and seal, from time to time to direct, declare, and point out the limits of the said divisions respectively, and to change the same from time to time at his or their will and pleasure, and to cause six several public offices to be established, one thereof in each of the said divisions, and to cause the same to be changed from time to time as he or they shall think proper.
