Salaries to pilots.

X. Provided always, That nothing contained in this act, shall extend, or be construed to extend to compel any corporation, or any number of persons hereby authorized to erect pilot offices, to allow the same salaries, rates, or wages to pilots in the ports of the said cities, towns, or counties of towns respectively, as are allowed to pilots by any law now in force respecting the regulation or appointment of pilots in the harbour or port of Dublin, but that it shall and may be lawful to and for the said corporations, or persons so authorized, to appoint such salaries, rates, or wages for pilots in tho respective ports as to them shall seem meet.
