The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 5 of the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks Act 2022 (No. 28 of 2022), and following the making of a recommendation to the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage under subsection (9) of that section, hereby make the following order, with respect to which, pursuant to subsection (16) of that section, a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving the draft has been passed by each such House: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks Act 2022 (Designation of Fingal and Wexford County Councils) (Parts of Administrative Areas) Order 2026. | ||
2. This Order shall come into operation on 20 May 2026. | ||
3. Fingal County Council is designated to be a designated local authority, in respect of the parts of its administrative area outlined in blue on Maps A, B, C and D contained in Schedule 1, for the purposes of the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks Act 2022 (No. 28 of 2022). | ||
4. Wexford County Council is designated to be a designated local authority, in respect of the parts of its administrative area outlined in blue on Maps A and B contained in Schedule 2, for the purposes of the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks Act 2022 (No. 28 of 2022). | ||
