I, JAMES BROWNE, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving further effect to paragraph (2) of Article 16b of Directive (EU) 2018/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 20181 as amended by Directive (EU) 2023/2413 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 October 20232 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Planning and Development) (Renewable Energy) (Amendment) Regulations 2026. | ||
2. Regulation 38 (as amended by Regulation 3 of the European Union (Planning and Development) (Renewable Energy) (No. 3) Regulations 2025 ( S.I. No. 435 of 2025 )) of the European Union (Planning and Development) (Renewable Energy) Regulations 2025 ( S.I. No. 274 of 2025 ) is amended by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph (2): | ||
“(2) The amendments made to the Act of 2000 by Regulations 6, 12, 14 and 18 shall come into operation on 1 November 2026.”. | ||
