S.I. No. 321/2023 - Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks Act 2022 (Commencement) Order 2023

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 23rd June, 2023.

I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks Act 2022 (No. 28 of 2022), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks Act 2022 (Commencement) Order 2023.

2. The 22nd day of June 2023 is appointed as the day on which the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks Act (No. 28 of 2022) (other than section 45(2)(d)) shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage by section 1 (2) of the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks Act 2022 (No. 28 of 2022), this Order appoints 22 June 2023 as the day on which the Act comes into operation (other than section 45(2)(d)).
