Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 20th December, 2022.

I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 (1) of the Water Services (Amendment) Act 2022 (No. 39 of 2022), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Water Services (Amendment) Act 2022 (Appointed Day) Order 2022.

2. The 1st day of January 2023 is the day appointed to be the appointed day for the purposes of the Water Services (Amendment) Act 2022 (No. 39 of 2022).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage by section 6 (1) of the Water Services (Amendment) Act 2022 (No. 39 of 2022), this Order appoints 1 January 2023 as the Appointed Day for the purposes of the Act.
