Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 11th January, 2022.

I, HELEN MCENTEE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Criminal Justice (Smuggling of Persons) Act 2021 (No. 42 of 2021), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice (Smuggling of Persons) Act 2021 (Commencement) Order 2021.

2. The 31st day of December 2021 is appointed as the day on which the Criminal Justice (Smuggling of Persons) Act 2021 (No. 42 of 2021) comes into operation.
