S.I. No. 152/2021 - Food Safety Authority of Ireland Act 1998 (Amendment of First Schedule) Order 2021

I, FRANK FEIGHAN, Minister of State at the Department of Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 5 of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland Act 1998 (No. 29 of 1998) (as adapted by the Health and Children (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 219 of 2011 ), the Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 455 of 2011 ) and the Communications, Climate Action and Environment (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 373 of 2020 )) and the Health (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 3) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 599 of 2020 ), after consultation with the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Food Safety Authority of Ireland Act 1998 (Amendment of First Schedule) Order 2021.

2. In this Order—

“Act” means the Food Safety Authority of Ireland Act 1998 (No. 29 of 1998);

“Order of 2020” means the Food Safety Authority of Ireland Act 1998 (Amendment of First Schedule) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 173 of 2020 ).

3. Part II (as amended by Article 3 of the Order of 2020) of the First Schedule to the Act is amended—

(a) by deleting the following statutory instruments:

“European Communities (Importation of Animals and Animal Products from Third Countries) Regulations 1994 ( S.I. No. 255 of 1994 )”;

“European Communities (Veterinary Checks on Products Imported from Third Countries) Regulations 2000 ( S.I. No. 292 of 2000 )”;

“European Communities (Veterinary Checks on Fish and Fishery Products Imported from Third Countries) Regulations 2003 ( S.I. No. 548 of 2003 )”; and

“European Communities (Import of Personal Consignments of Products of Animal Origin) Regulations 2012 ( S.I. No. 374 of 2012 ).”, and

4. Part III (as amended by Article 4 of the Order of 2020) of the First Schedule to the Act is amended—

(a) by deleting the following Regulations:

This Order amends the First Schedule to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland Act 1998 .

This Order may be cited as the Food Safety Authority of Ireland Act 1998 (Amendment of First Schedule) Order 2021.
